New homecare contract for Trafford Housing Trust

Trustcare at Trafford Housing Trust (THT) has secured a new contract with Trafford Council to deliver community alarms and assistive technology.

Following a competitive tender process, Trustcare – THT’s home care provider – will help facilitate hospital discharges by providing telecare support.

Fran Gudger, Head of Independent Living at THT, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this contract and continue to deliver community alarms and assistive technology across the borough, enabling people to live independently in their own homes for longer.”

Cllr Joanne Harding, Trafford Council’s Executive Member for Adult Social Care, said: “Congratulations to Trafford Housing Trust for their recent tender win to provide community alarms to assist our more vulnerable residents when they are discharged from hospital. We have worked with THT on several schemes and are happy they can deliver exactly what we require.”

Trustcare’s Alert and Response service offers a range of specialised equipment linked to a control centre, which is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The services provide personalised solutions to help people live independently in their own home, but with added peace of mind and support if it is needed.
