Rangeford Villages Appoints New Senior Development Manager

Rangeford Villages, the UK’s leading retirement village operator, has strengthened its Development Team with the appointment of Martin Bates as a Senior Development Manager.

Martin’s appointment comes after a busy first half of the year at Rangeford, which has over 13-acres of new space currently under development and a string of land purchases in the pipeline.

With over 25 years of experience in the construction industry, Martin previously held positions at Equans, Engie, and spent more than a decade as a Main Board Director at global architectural practice, Broadway Malyan, as well as helmed the development of several large residential-led mixed-used schemes in London.

Bringing in a wealth of experience and technical knowledge, Martin joins at an exciting time for Rangeford as it forges ahead with its rapidly expanding portfolio of development projects, where he’ll be leading the delivery of the new Cambridge-based retirement village, Strawberry Fields, through its construction phase, and the development of the newly acquired site in Dorking. In addition, Martin will also play an integral role in developing the Rangeford Design Guide and the Rangeford ESG Strategy.

Rangeford Village’s expansion has resulted in the creation of a number of integrated retirement communities across the UK: Wadswick Green in Wiltshire, Mickle Hill in North Yorkshire, Siddington Park in Cirencester, Homewood Grove in Chertsey, Strawberry Fields in Cambridgeshire, as well as a newly acquired site in Dorking.
