Embark Learning Care Academy is an established training provider, which helps carers, new or fully qualified, develop and acheive nationally recognised qualifications and has done so, with great success for the last 10 years, throughout the West Midlands.
In the feedback provided by Ofsted, inspectors stated that “Leaders demonstrate a clear rationale for the curriculum they offer” and “The curriculum provides learners with the knowledge and skills that they need to progress successfully to employment, specifically in health and social care settings.”
Speaking of the partnerships Embark Learning Care Academy has, inspectors said:
“Leaders work effectively with stakeholders, including the West Midlands Combined
Authority (WMCA), the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), the National
Careers Service (NCS) and local care service employers. They are proactive in
recruiting learners onto their courses to upskill and reskill the workforce in the care
sector. Their key focus is to train and develop the adult care workforce locally and respond to significant skill shortages in care across the West Midlands, as identified by Skills For Care UK.”
The Oftsed report spoke highly of the quality of the learners, stating “Learners develop their confidence, character, and resilience. Staff work with partners to provide effective support for learners to help them overcome barriers to learning and employment. Through the support and guidance of trained staff, learners become better equipped to cope with the emotional challenges of working in health and social care.”
Another positive aspect pulled from the report was that “Trainers use their up-to-date sector knowledge to plan and teach interesting lessons. They use a range of teaching methods to ensure learners are gaining and securing new knowledge. They provide simulated learning environments to allow learners to practise and apply their new knowledge and skills. As a result, the vast majority of learners successfully achieve their qualification and move into sustained employment.”
Head of Operations, Eyad Hanash, said: “We’re over the moon with the results and feedback from our Ofsted inspection. Our trainers put a lot of work into building the curriculum and ensuring that there’s an even spread of practical and technical knowledge passed along to learners, so that they’re fully prepared when they enter the world of care. So, we’re very happy that they acknowledged that we have adapted the programme when we have feedback from people we work with.
