Learning Disability England is pleased to launch The Good Lives Manifesto 2024.
With a General Election due to be called this year, it is more important than ever that the voices of people with learning disabilities are heard within politics and policy.
Learning Disability England is a member-led organisation, where members work together to build a world where people with learning disabilities have good lives with equal choices and opportunities as others.
The Good Lives Manifesto has been coproduced by over 400 members, and built from a number of campaigns and actions, bringing people and organisations together on what they think are the most important priorities for the next government to take action on to make Good Lives possible.
The Good Lives Manifesto is based on human rights, evidence, research and campaigns. There are 6 key asks based on the Good Lives Framework and members current priorities.
Scott Watkin BEM is a Co-Chair of Learning Disability England’s Representative Body. He says, “With 1.5 million people with learning disabilities in the UK, we must be listened to.”
