Birdie, the intelligent platform for homecare, today announced that it has ranked 21st within Deloitte’s EMEA Fast 500, an industry ranking of the 500 fastest-growing technology companies across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Rankings are based on percentage revenue growth over the last four years. Birdie grew 5,435% during this period.
With downloads of Birdie’s app increasing by 184% in 2023, the home health technology platform collected over 1.8 billion data points on care recipient well-being. These insights helped homecare agencies collectively save 353,090 hours, or 14,712 days, on care planning in 2023.
Since its launch in 2017, Birdie has been on a mission to transform care through technology, enabling more older adults in the UK to thrive at home, where over two-thirds of individuals prefer to age. Over the past year, Birdie has expanded its impact by launching its first office in Germany and actively exploring options to expand its footprint in other markets.”
This recognition from Deloitte follows four years of phenomenal growth and a strong start to 2024. Earlier this year, Birdie joined Tech Nation’s Future Fifty 2024 cohort, a prestigious program for the UK’s leading late-stage tech companies.
To support the social care sector, the company launched ‘Flock,’ an on and offline community that helps connect those who work in care to share experiences and learn from each other. Although it only launched in February this year, it has already become the 4th largest care community in the UK.
Max Parmentier, CEO and Co-Founder of Birdie, said, “Historically, homecare providers have been underserved by technology, relying on inefficient physical and digital systems. That’s why we’re delighted to be recognised as one of the fastest-growing tech companies in EMEA by Deloitte and to be leading the way in catalysing positive change in the sector.”
“At Birdie, we believe that caring for an ageing society requires a village made up of GPs, pharmacists, nurses, hospitals, and care professionals to deliver the best care at home. This mission has enabled us to build a team with relevant skills, experience, and a personal stake in driving necessary changes, ultimately allowing people to age where they are most comfortable – in their own homes.”
