Social care provider shortlisted for best employer in Investors in People Awards

by Kirsty Kirsty

Creative Support, a national not-for-profit provider of social care services for adults with support needs, has been shortlisted in the Investors in People Awards for Best Third Sector Employer and Best for Learning and Development.

The Investors in People Awards recognise organisations reaching excellence and putting people first. Investors in People are a standard for people management, who offer accreditation to organisations that adhere to the Investors in People Standard. Creative Support received Gold last year, and their Learning & Development and HR Teams received Platinum, the highest accreditation received by only 7% of assessed organisations.

Creative Support’s nomination recognises their dedication to staff wellbeing and engagement, including the continuation of their Staff Welfare Fund to support staff in financial hardship.

Creative Academy, the training arm of Creative Support, received their nomination for Best Leaning and Development for their commitment to continuous improvement of staff throughout all levels of the organisation, and launching a new learning management software to increase course attendance and interest.

James Perkins, Learning and Development Business Manager, said: “This is an incredible achievement for Creative Academy following our recent Investors in People Platinum accreditation. I am so proud of our amazing team for all their hard work over the past three years, supporting our staff to reach their full potential and deliver the highest-quality person-centred care.”

Anna Lunts, Chief Executive, said: “We are honoured to be shortlisted in two categories in the Investors in People Awards, after celebrating a Gold accreditation for our organisation and Platinum for our Learning & Development and HR Teams. We are thrilled that our training team has been selected as a finalist in the Best for Learning and Development category, reflecting their excellence in high-quality training and commitment to staff development. We wish everyone the best of luck at the ceremony.”
