Birch View complex needs care home is set to make a significant positive impact on the local community by offering much needed complex nursing care and generating approximately 100 new healthcare jobs
Exemplar Health Care, a leading provider of nursing care for adults living with complex and high acuity needs, has begun construction for its latest care home located on Sherwood Jones Close, Radford.
Due for completion by March 2026, the new home will be named Birch View and will provide comprehensive support to adults living with complex needs arising from brain injuries, dementia, mental health conditions, neuro-disabilities and physical disabilities.
Featuring 38 spacious en-suite bedrooms split across three units, the home will follow Exemplar Health Care’s unique small group living model, which provides a more homely, supportive, and responsive care environment. The home will feature communal dining and living spaces, sensory bathrooms, a salon, and a dedicated therapy treatment room. The home will have its own multi-disciplinary team including an in-house Physiotherapist, an Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse and Health Care Assistants offering a holistic approach to care and support.
Once open, Birch View will be Exemplar Health Care’s first care home in Coventry, with the organisation already operating eight other homes in the West Midlands.
The construction of Birch View is set to make a significant positive impact on the local community by generating approximately 100 new healthcare jobs. Exemplar Health Care will be recruiting a diverse range of positions later this year inclusive of care, nursing, management, administrative and care home support.
Prior to the first residents moving into the home, successful candidates will start by completing a comprehensive induction, training and team building programme. Full details on all the available jobs, as well as how to register your interest for a role at Birch View, can be found on the Exemplar Health Care careers website: www.exemplarhc.com/careers.
Charlotte Lloyd, Commissioning Director at Exemplar Health Care, said:
“Our aim is to make every day better for our residents by providing person-centred care that focuses on maximising independence, building everyday living skills and empowering people to live as fulfilled lives as possible.
“Once complete, the home will create a significant number of local healthcare employment opportunities, whilst also making sure the local community has access to a much-needed complex needs care service. It’s our ambition for the home to be a place where our residents can be part of the community, whether through work placements, local events or volunteering.”
Construction firm Deeley Construction has been appointed to build the care home.
Eleanor Deeley, Managing Director at Deeley Group, said:
“We’re delighted to have been instructed as the construction contractor for Birch View, in Radford. The home will be our seventh scheme to-date for Exemplar Health Care. We look forward to continuing our mission of building spaces that enrich the lives of those with complex needs for Exemplar Health Care.”
