Cornerstone Healthcare, the multi-award-winning specialist care provider, continues its growth in the South of England with the addition of The Burren Care Home in South Bristol.
Now officially open, The Burren is a brand new, purpose-built care home designed to support individuals with complex physical and neurological conditions in a safe, compassionate, and expertly staffed environment.
The opening ceremony was performed by Julie Allen, mother of The Burren’s first resident, alongside Lesley Sturgeon, The Burren’s General Manager and Paul Hayes, CEO of Cornerstone Healthcare Group.
Reflecting on the day, Julie said, “It was a fabulous afternoon, and I was honoured to be asked to officially cut the ribbon. I feel so lucky to have found The Burren for my son who is now receiving the specialist care he needs – he’s settling in really well.”
Cornerstone Group CEO Paul Hayes said, “We are delighted to be opening The Burren Care Home. Every Cornerstone home we open allows us to support more people who deserve personalised, specialist care in a place they can call home.”
Lesley Sturgeon, General Manager at The Burren remarked “I’m incredibly proud of The Burren and the amazing team here. Our Grand Opening was a truly special day and we thoroughly enjoyed welcoming more of our supportive community.”
The Burren joins established homes in Hampshire and Surrey within the Cornerstone Group, marking a key expansion in the Group’s mission to serve individuals with complex health needs.
The team at The Burren are now welcoming new residents, reflecting a new standard in specialised care – person-centred, clinically led, and community focused.
