Blueleaf Care strengthens business operation with move to new premises

Blueleaf Care, the nationwide business helping care homes deliver better outcomes, is relocating its head office and Southern distribution hub and service delivery centre to a new, sustainable development in Crawley, West Sussex.

The new, larger premises will strengthen Blueleaf Care’s existing sustainable practice across the business and further improve efficiencies for the business and customers.

Blueleaf Care is taking 65,000 sq ft of warehouse space at Arrow Point, Crawley, which is twice the size of its previous premises in nearby Horsham, giving the business more space to grow. The increased capacity will allow Blueleaf to hold more stock, giving it more purchasing power, and allowing it to offer even more competitive prices to its clients. The new facility will also enable the business to deliver on bank holidays and extend cut-off times for customers to place new orders, minimising disruption to deliveries and providing a more seamless customer experience.

Importantly, Arrow Point is adjacent to the M23 – a vital transport link connecting the south to the M3 and M25 – which will mean shorter supply chains, and reduced delivery miles which in turn means lower emissions.

With the move to its new location, Blueleaf Care is also reviewing its suppliers and partners and aims to support local businesses who prioritise sustainable practices within their own operations.

Nick Frogbrook, CEO of Blueleaf Care says sustainable growth is a priority for the business: “We need room to grow but we are also on a mission to reduce our environmental impact. The new location is better for our customers, and better for our people, while supporting our focus on sustainability which is central to the culture of our business. We’re delighted to begin the next chapter of Blueleaf Care’s journey in our new premises.”

Arrow Point has been built as a sustainable development with a BREEAM rating of ‘very good’ and an Energy Performance Certificate rating of A. It has PV solar panels for energy and energy reducing sensory LED lights. For employees, the new site has an excellent transport network, dedicated parking space to encourage car sharing, electric vehicle charging points, as well as easy cycle and pedestrian access.    The fully fitted office space has been designed to support new ways of working in a modern workspace and a ‘Hub’ area which will allow staff to come together to collaborate connect and socialise. Blueleaf has also committed to using a probiotic cleaning range across the facilities, which will provide a deeper and healthier cleaning regime than regular chemical cleaning products.
