Care home administration software provider, CoolCare, announces the launch of ‘Connected Reception’ — as it seeks to make the front of house more digitised and inviting for staff and guests.
The new suite of systems is designed with compliance and visitor satisfaction in mind, providing a biometric face clock-in for staff, a virtual noticeboard and a digital visitor book that is integrated with CoolCare’s resident and staff database and can also be integrated with Person Centred Software’s care plans (PCS).
- The biometric face clock-in provides a seamless solution for tracking staff attendance and ensuring accurate timesheets and payroll. Staff members can easily clock in and out using facial recognition technology, eliminating the need for physical timesheets, or losable fobs and reducing the potential for errors. This system integrates directly with CoolCare’s staff management tools, enabling homes to maintain precise attendance records and optimise staffing levels.
- A real-time communication tool, the virtual noticeboard can be displayed on any HDMI-enabled television. It offers a rotating display of important information such as daily menus, upcoming events, birthdays and staff on shift, helping to create a warm, inviting and informative space for visitors.
- CoolCare’s new digital visitor book takes visitor management to the next level. Visitors can register electronically, providing key information that is instantly accessible. With easy access to visitor logs, feedback and reviews, care homes can document visitor resident and staff feedback easily, demonstrate accountability and track corrective actions taken. This transparency aligns with the CQC’s newest framework, making it an essential tool for care homes aiming to enhance their inspection outcomes.
The system also has the ability to directly link to PCS care records, allowing for every visit to be automatically updated on a resident’s care record in real-time. Not only that, but the system can also link to the home’s Autumna premium listing account to display live ratings by visitors to the home directly from the home’s reception to its online presence. Real user feedback and reviews boosts a home’s online Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) helping the home stand out on Google searches.
Commenting on the launch of its ‘Connected Reception’ system, Commercial Director, Iain Corrigan, said: “First impressions count and our connected reception makes the whole process – for visitors, service users and staff – much smoother and more efficient. Developing ‘Connected Reception’ reflects our ongoing commitment to providing innovative and easy-to-use solutions for care homes. We’re all about making it easier for our care providers, so we’re continuously looking to help care homes operate more efficiently while meeting the highest standards of care.”
