Castlemeadow Care shortens application form to boost recruitment

by Lisa Carr

Castlemeadow Care have introduced a shortened application form as they try to encourage more people to join their care teams. The family-run company, who manage six care homes in Norfolk and Suffolk, are recruiting for a number of different types of role in their homes.

Marketing and Engagement Manager Richard Lain-Smith explained the situation: “Like all care providers, we are continually looking for new and experienced care staff to join our teams.

“We’ve found that when people were applying for roles using our website, they found our previous application form was sometimes a bit too long and off-putting. We’ve shortened it down, asking for key, basic information to help those who are interested to apply much more easily. Then, once we’ve reviewed all the applications, we can shortlist people for interview and gather any extra information we need from them at that stage.”

“Working in care is so rewarding. We offer a really good package for people including continual learning and development programmes, opportunities to progress with a career in care, free health and wellbeing support, an employee discount scheme plus a competitive salary. These are exciting times for Castlemeadow Care. The Covid pandemic has brought significant challenges to the care sector, but we are determined to look forward and be at the forefront of social care. We are committed to inspiring and transforming lives and supporting those who live with us.”
