Hallmark Care Homes build in Brentwood has won a national design award.

Hutton View Care Home, which was built by care home construction company, Savista Developments, has won the ‘Best Exterior Space’ category at the prestigious Pinders Healthcare Design Awards.

The national awards ceremony, first established in 1999, seeks to acknowledge the contribution made by designers, architects and the owners of care homes, hospitals and other care schemes to the well-being and quality of life for those in their care.

Hutton View was recently announced as the winner at a glittering awards ceremony at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in Westminster, making it Hallmarks 9th Pinders win in 11 years.

The home, which opened its doors in November 2020, boasts many state-of-the-art features, including a café, hair salon, cinema and therapy room.

The gardens at Hutton View are broken down into smaller intimate spaces that are surrounded by existing trees. There are many things for residents to enjoy in the gardens, such as spending time in the summerhouse which has an outdoor kitchen and WC.

Residents can also enjoy potting their own plants in the raised planters and greenhouse, as well as listening to the peaceful chirping of the birds in the aviary.

Outdoor spaces have been created on the upper levels within each community and residents have access to patios with outdoor seating in the ground floor bedrooms, dining rooms and lounges.

Executive Chair of Hallmark Care Homes, Avnish Goyal said: “We are delighted that Hutton View has won the ‘Best Exterior Space’ award at the prestigious Pinders Healthcare Design Awards.

“An enormous amount of hard work, dedication and passion has gone into creating this beautiful facility. Winning this award is a wonderful acknowledgement of all that effort.”

General Manager at Hutton View, Louise Baxter said: “The team at Savista and Hallmark worked extremely hard to make the outdoor space a tranquil haven for residents to continue a love for gardening, enjoy the fresh air and take part in activities such as BBQ’s and summer fetes.

“The gardens at Hutton View are a key part of the resident’s wellbeing and we are extremely proud to have won this award.”
