Community Integrated Care supports employees with money saving webinar

One of the UK’s biggest social care charities, Community Integrated Care, has this week welcomed financial journalist, blogger and money expert, Andy Webb, to their company-wide webinar this Wednesday (6th April) to provide money saving advice direct to their 5,000 strong-workforce.

With increases in energy, fuel and consumer goods already sweeping the UK, and with further inflation on the horizon, the special event offered helpful guidance and money saving tips for colleagues grappling with the rising cost of living.

Regularly featuring across broadcast media, and with popular columns in both the Metro and Reader’s Digest, Andy provides money saving advice to millions of people across the UK through his website Be Clever with Your Cash, podcast and YouTube channel.

The exclusive webinar was broadcast live to the charity’s employees located across the UK, from their frontline Support Workers to support function teams. Colleagues were invited to submit their questions and concerns ahead of the webinar, for Andy’s advice on specific areas of concern that really matter to them.

Speaking of the session, Andy said, “Helping people save money is one of my biggest passions, so I was really excited to join Community Integrated Care for an exclusive webinar with their employees to share some of my latest money saving tips and tricks. It was great to have the opportunity to offer my support and share guidance on the issues that really matter most to people at the moment, including rising fuel, food and energy costs. A huge thank you to their teams for all of the brilliant questions asked.

He continued, “I hope that the session provided useful advice and helpful insights that people can not only take forward and apply to their own finances to make some really great savings, but can also share with their friends, family and the people they support too.”

This isn’t the first initiative that Community Integrated Care have taken to support their employees amidst increased costs of living, with the charity recently announcing a £3 million investment in their workforce, seeing frontline Support Workers receive £10 per hour in England and £11 per hour in Scotland from 1st April.

The uplift, which is the second in six months for the charity, sees employees paid more than both the Government’s National Living Wage and the voluntary Real Living Wage, as recommended by the Living Wage Foundation.

The move represents a further £3 million investment from the organisation, in addition to £5 million already spent improving employee pay, reward and wellbeing in Autumn 2021, reflecting their commitments to frontline recognition as part of the charity’s new Best Lives Possible five-year strategy.
