Fulcrum bolsters team with appointment of a new head of quality

Fulcrum Care, the care home management consultants, has increased its commitment to providing excellence in care by appointing renowned industry leader Karen Johnson as Head of Quality Assurance.

Karen brings with her 25 years of experience and will head up the quality assurance team and support the continued growth in the business by implementing a new ground-breaking extension of services to clients.

Her extensive background has focussed predominately on quality and operations for elderly care. From a successful career working in care home inspection turnaround, followed by senior operational and strategic roles, Karen was most recently Clinical Director and Chief Nurse at HC One, the largest provider of care homes in the UK.

Fulcrum Care’s CEO, Tony Thiru, said: “This is an exciting moment for Fulcrum as we look to expand the business after continued growth and development. We are delighted to have Karen join us at such a pivotal time. Karen’s appointment positions Fulcrum to build on its successes of 2021, winning Business Services at the national Leaders in Care Awards run by Care Home Professional and Home Care Insight, and Fulcrum’s IPC Health Checks being named as one of Care Home Professional’s Best Products and Services of 2021.

Karen Johnson, who brings expertise of working across all three regions – England, Scotland and Wales – said: “I am delighted to be joining Fulcrum and to be part of the upward trajectory of the firm.”
