The Care Home Group has hired a new Head of Operations and Head of Dementia and Lifestyle Enhancement, during an important period of growth
Holmes Care Group, an award-winning family-run care group, has announced two new appointments, with the recruitment of a Head of Operations and Head of Dementia and Lifestyle Enhancement, to its senior leadership team.
The hires come at a critical period of growth for the care provider and follows the 2021 acquisition of Kingdom Homes – which saw Holmes Care Group add twelve care homes to their portfolio in Scotland. The addition of experienced new talent to the team will allow the care home group to move forward with planned developments and additional improvements to current practice.
Holmes Care welcomes Sheilah Harvey as its Head of Operations who joins the company with over 30 years of experience across the UK and Australia and a strong knowledge of the health and community care sector. Sheilah holds a a BSc, a Master of Business Administration, and a Master of Human Resource Management. A Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, her outstanding leadership and interpersonal communication skills have been recognised at a national level when she won a Transformational Culture Award and will be a vital attribute to complement Holmes Care’s growing team.

Yvonne Manson also joins Holmes Care as the Head of Dementia and Lifestyle Enhancement, following 26 years of experience working in the care sector. Yvonne holds a BSc in Mental Health Nursing and an MSc in Dementia Studies and is currently embarking on a PhD where she has led several dementia improvements projects, one of which was an award-winning dementia strategy. Passionate about relationship-centered care, strength-based quality improvement and workforce development, Yvonne’s expertise will be a true asset to the Group’s experienced senior management team.
