Optimo Care Group acquires Safehands Support

Optimo Care Group (“Optimo”) is pleased to announce the acquisition of Safehands Support Services (UK) Limited (“Safehands” or “the Company”).

Based in Oldham, Safehands Is a domiciliary care provider which was established in 2011 by Caroline Simms who has grown and developed the business into one of the leading providers in the Greater Manchester region.

Operating across the Oldham borough, Safehands provides a range of care services specialising in domiciliary care, currently delivering around 1,500 care hours per week to around 150 clients. Safehands currently employs in the region of 75 staff, all of whom will remain with the business with plans established to further increase the size of the team through further expansion of its services.

Optimo Care Group was co-founded by Mark Hales and Richard Walker in 2010 with a single vision in mind – to create high quality, progressive and a well reputed family of care services across the North of England. Optimo aim to provide person centred care and support in ways which have positive outcomes for service users and deliver a service to be proud of.

The Group is made up of a number of subsidiaries, and delivers over 14,500 hours of care per week, employing over 800 people, operating across the North of England. This acquisition follows on from Optimos recent acquisition of Mayday Homecare in Bolton a little over two weeks ago.

Safehands were advised by Setfords Solicitors (Legal).
