Moorfield House has been owned and managed by Stephen and Mary Brown for over 35 years, over which time it has gained an excellent reputation and a ’Good’ CQC rating. After 35 years, the pair decided to retire.
Following a confidential sales process with Jonathan Wickens at Christie & Co, the home has been purchased by Namdiv Limited, an experienced operator with another care home in Blackpool.
Stephen and Mary Brown, former owners of Moorfield House, comment, “Having managed the home for 35 years, we are sad to be leaving and are really grateful to the loyal staff and families for supporting us over the years. We wish Namdiv Limited all the best for the future.”
A Director at Namdiv Limited comments, “We are thrilled to have successfully acquired Moorfield House. Our vision is to enhance Moorfield House, ensuring it remains a warm, kind, and caring environment for all residents. We are eager to collaborate with the strong team of staff and are grateful for all the support from Christie & Co along the way.”
Jonathan Wickens, Director – Healthcare at Christie & Co, comments, “It has been great to work with Stephen and Mary and now the home transfers to Namdiv Limited who I feel sure will continue the high standards set at Moorfield. The sale highlights the continued demand for care homes across the north of England. Despite negative comments around cost inflation, the sector continues to flourish with local and regional operators keen to expand and acquire additional homes particularly where there is a ‘Good’ CQC rating and track record.”
Moorfield House was sold for an undisclosed price.
