Signature Senior Lifestyle Appoints Amanda Rae as New Director of Quality & Governance

Signature Senior Lifestyle, a leading provider of luxury assisted living, nursing, respite, and dementia care, has appointed of Amanda Rae as its new Director of Quality & Governance.

Amanda joins Signature with over three decades of experience in health and social care. Having started her career as a Care Assistant before qualifying as a nurse in 1993, Amanda has since progressed through a variety of frontline and senior leadership roles, including RGN, Sister and Senior Sister, HR & Training Manager, Home Manager, Operations Manager, and, most recently, Head of Quality & Compliance for Canford Healthcare.

A Queen’s Nurse and Chartered Manager, Amanda also holds Levels 5 and 7 in Business Studies through the Chartered Institute of Management and is a Fellow Member of CIPD.

She has been recognised as a finalist at the Nursing Times Awards and HealthInvestor Awards, highly commended at the Women Achieving Greatness in Social Care Awards, and, in 2024, won the Champion of Care Digital Innovation Award.

In her new role, Amanda will lead on further embedding a culture of excellence across Signature’s homes, ensuring robust governance processes and delivering the highest possible standards of care for residents across the provider’s 10 homes.

Amanda’s appointment comes as Signature Senior Lifestyle prepares for a period of exciting growth and transformation, following the recent announcement of Rob Martin as the group’s new Chief Executive Officer.

Over the next 18 months, Signature also plans to open three new homes, further expanding its reach and impact across London and the home counties.
