Luxury care home provider Signature Senior Lifestyle has embarked on a £7.5 million refurbishment programme, transforming several of its homes over the next 12 months to further enhance the living environment and wellbeing of its residents.
The largest project in the programme is now underway at Signature at Weybridge in Surrey, where extensive works are expected to complete in Summer 2026. This project will see significant upgrades to communal facilities in the home, new spaces including a shop, family room, and rehabilitation suite, as well as an extension of its dementia wing.
The second largest refurbishment in the programme is part-way completed at Signature at Banstead, also in Surrey, welcoming residents into an already transformed home. Residents and visitors can now enjoy a beautifully enhanced dementia community, with elegant new apartments, freshly landscaped gardens, and fully refurbished communal spaces due to open later this year, designed for comfort, connection, and wellbeing.
Other homes are benefiting from the investment, including Signature at Ascot in Berkshire, where a complete refurbishment earlier this year introduced a new rehabilitation and wellbeing space, the Revive Hub, and upgraded communal areas. This comes alongside a new, purpose-built dementia community located on the top floor of the home that completed in September 2024.
Signature Senior Lifestyle’s flagship home in North London, Signature at Highgate, is soon set to open the doors of its brand-new gym tailored to residents, recently converted from a garden room. Extensive works at Signature at Bentley House in Hertfordshire, and Signature at Coombe Hill Manor in Kingston upon Thames, are also expected to complete later this year.
Steve Gardner, Interim Chief Executive Office of Signature Senior Lifestyle, said:
“This refurbishment programme represents a major investment in the future of our homes and, most importantly, in the comfort, safety, and happiness of our residents. Every detail, from upgraded care facilities to enhanced, beautifully designed communal areas, reflects our commitment to delivering exceptional care in luxurious, welcoming settings.
“We look forward to seeing the works completed and the positive impact they will have on residents for years to come – building for the future while maintaining the warm, vibrant communities that make our homes so special.”
All refurbishments have been carefully planned to minimise disruption and ensure residents can continue to enjoy daily life while benefiting from improved facilities as they are completed.
Alongside the refurbishment programme, Signature Senior Lifestyle is also in the process of building three new luxury homes, with the first, Hornchurch, expected to open in Spring 2026, followed by their new Surbiton home in Summer 2026, and Enfield in Autumn 2026.
