Each month we meet key stakeholders and business leaders in the social care sector. This month we meet Peter Kerly, Managing Director of digital telecare provider, Everon UK.
How do you see Everon’s role evolving in the rapidly changing health and social care technology landscape over the next 5 years?
Everon Group is poised to play a pivotal role in transforming health and social care, supporting the movement to predictive care. Over the next five years, we expect to expand our presence in digital telecare and SaaS-based solutions, leveraging AI and predictive analytics to detect early indicators of health decline.
As the UK completes its analogue-to-digital shift by January 2027, Everon’s focus will be on enabling seamless, connected care across housing, health and social services, helping older adults remain independent for longer while reducing pressure on the NHS and social care providers.
Which emerging digital care trends are you most excited about, and how is Everon adapting to them?
Over the last 12 months, the UK health and care technology landscape has experienced rapid transformation, driven in part by the replacement of analogue telecare systems with fully digital solutions.
In 2026, increased emphasis on digital governance, system resilience and data transparency will shape how care technology is deployed across the country. At the same time, one of the most significant emerging trends is the growing use of AI-driven predictive analytics, which enables care teams to identify patterns of risk, such as increased fall likelihood, declining mobility or changes in cognitive health before an incident occurs.
Everon is actively engaged in this shift through the launch of Everon Care, a new digital service developed in partnership with leading health tech provider Howz. Everon Care uses data already generated by wearables and telecare devices such as movement, daily routines and sleep patterns and applies machine-learning analytics to turn this information into real-time, actionable insight. Enabling care teams to be alerted to subtle changes in behaviour or wellbeing that may indicate emerging risk, rather than only responding once an alarm is triggered or an incident has happened.
This directly new digital service directly supports the move towards data-led, person-centred care. By integrating continuous, real-time insight into our platforms, Everon enables providers to move away from one-size-fits-all models and instead design bespoke care plans tailored to each individual’s needs, routines and level of risk. This allows for earlier, more targeted interventions that improve outcomes, support independence and make better use of limited care resources.
How does Everon balance bespoke solutions for care providers with the need for scalable, standardised technology?
Everon Group achieves this balance through modular, SaaS-based platforms that can be customised to the specific needs of care providers while maintaining a consistent, interoperable core. This allows large-scale deployment across housing associations, care providers and local authorities without requiring bespoke infrastructure for each client. Our approach ensures both flexibility for individual residents and efficiency at scale, reducing complexity for service providers.
Our solutions are designed to integrate seamlessly into existing housing and group living environments, avoiding the costly redesigns or retrofitting often associated with forward-thinking digital telecare and assistive technology. By working with the infrastructure already in place, we support faster implementation, lower total cost of ownership and minimal disruption for residents and providers.
Which leadership principles or values do you prioritise at Everon to maintain innovation, quality, and trust?
At Everon, we prioritise innovation through collaboration, working closely with partners such as Howz to develop pioneering, evidence-based solutions that respond to real-world challenges in care delivery.
A strong commitment to person-centred care underpins everything we do, ensuring our technology enhances independence while respecting privacy, dignity and choice. We also place a strong emphasis on data integrity and transparency, recognising that trust depends on the secure, responsible use of sensitive information.
What do you see as the biggest opportunities for Everon to improve efficiency and reduce workload pressures for care providers?
The biggest opportunities lie in automating routine monitoring and alerts through AI, which reduces the need for manual checks and allows care teams to focus on personalised support.
By providing predictive insights, our Everon Care solution helps care teams draw conclusions that anticipate issues before they escalate by drawing on continuous, round-the-clock behavioural data. Further, these insights prevent unnecessary hospital admissions and minimise reactive interventions. Integrating housing, health and social care data also enables more coordinated and efficient care, while scalable, cloud-based solutions reduce administrative burdens and support workforce planning.
Together, these approaches empower care providers to deliver high-quality, proactive care while managing resources more effectively.
How do you ensure Everon’s solutions remain accessible and user-friendly for people with varying levels of digital confidence?
We focus on intuitive, non-intrusive devices such as pendants and wearables that require minimal user interaction. Care teams are trained to interpret data and support users, while our platforms provide clear visualisations and actionable alerts.
Additionally, we provide ongoing guidance and support to both residents and providers, ensuring technology enhances independence without causing frustration or reliance on complex digital skills.
By combining proven telecare infrastructure with predictive analytics, interoperable platforms and person-centred design, Everon is helping to shift services from reactive response to proactive prevention. As demand across the health and social care landscape continues to grow, Everon’s focus remains on enabling connected, preventative care models that support independence, improve outcomes and reduce pressure across the wider system.
