All 120+ Bupa care homes and 10 Richmond Villages are now using Radar Healthcare

Bupa Care Services has rolled out Radar Healthcare across all of its care homes and Richmond Villages as part of its ongoing digital transformation programme.

Through the partnership Radar Healthcare provides Bupa with a digital platform for risk, quality and compliance, meaning that essential activities such as audits, actions, regular tasks and event reporting can all be captured digitally.

The system allows home managers to carry out quality monitoring and make swift changes if necessary, while gathering data on themes and trends in order to improve outcomes and shape how care is provided. And the fully integrated analytics platform allows Bupa teams to demonstrate robust standards to regulators.

The shift away from paper-based processes to digital platforms is part of Bupa’s ambitious digital transformation journey, which also includes the ongoing roll out of electronic care records, an interactive platform allowing relatives to view live updates on their loved ones, and several pilots involving memory games and apps designed to improve quality of life for those with dementia.

Rebecca Pearson, General Manager, Care Services, Bupa Global & UK said: “We always strive to provide the highest quality care at our homes and retirement villages and an important part of this is adopting the latest digital innovations.

“Radar Healthcare supports us in making our processes smoother, seamless and more efficient, allowing us to drive up our safety and governance standards, as well as gather data that helps us innovate and adapt.

“But ultimately, it’s the human connection that is at the heart of our digitisation journey. Technology makes such a difference to the lives of our residents and also frees up our people to do what they’re passionate about – caring.”

Radar Healthcare CEO Paul Johnson said: “We’re proud that Bupa UK Care Services has chosen to partner with Radar Healthcare. Our platform brings all regulatory processes into one system that can be accessed remotely across all Bupa locations and provides the constant visibility required to monitor both internal and external regulatory standards.

“We’re looking forward to working in partnership with Bupa to take a more proactive approach to risk and compliance, allowing staff to focus on providing outstanding care to residents.”
