NCF announces election of new board members

The National Care Forum, the leading membership organisation for not-for-profit organisations in the care and support sector, announces the appointment of 5 new board members at their AGM today.

Professor Vic Rayner OBE, Chief Executive Officer, said;

“We are delighted to welcome Marianne Wanstall, CEO, The Brendoncare Foundation; Rachel Jones, Director of Care Services, Jewish Care; Rob Martin, Managing Director, Care Services, Anchor Hanover; Sanjeet Bains, Managing Director; Bolton Cares and  Viv De La Fuente, CEO, Encompass Dorset to the NCF Board. Our new board members will bring a greater breadth of knowledge and experience  to the board, reflecting the wide range of services provided nationally by NCF members.  In addition we were very pleased that Mette Le Jakobsen, Managing Director, Surrey Choices and Maxine Espley MBE, Executive Director of Care & Support, Green Square Accord were re-elected for another term on the NCF Board.

Marianne Wanstall, Rachel Jones, Rob Martin, Sanjeet Bains, and Viv De La Fuente join the existing board comprising, Andy Cole OBE (Chair), Royal Star and Garter; Sarah Clarke-Kuehn (Treasurer), Sanctuary Care; Dan Hayes, The Orders of St John Care Trust; Martin D’Mello, One Housing; and Oona Goldworthy, Brunelcare. Existing board members Maxine Espley MBE, Green Square Accord; Mette Le Jakobsen, Surrey Choices were re-elected at the AGM today.

Members were also very interested to hear from Engage Britain at the AGM, who talked about their primary research focussed on ‘Putting people at the heart of fixing the social care crisis’.

In addition, at the AGM we launched the NCF 2021-22 Impact Report, outlining the various activities and influence NCF has brought on behalf of our members over the last year. The impact report highlights the significant efforts of the NCF team, our Board and our members made during 2021 to 2022.
