Award-winning later living specialist Rangeford Villages had good reason to celebrate, as it hosted a ‘Topping Out’ event to mark a major building milestone at its latest lifestyle focused community for the over 60’s, Homewood Grove near desirable Chertsey.
Joining the celebration on Wednesday 1st February was Dennis Brown from the Royal Egham Show, Nick Wood Dow, Deputy Lieutenant of Surrey, who both lent a hand with the centuries old tradition of blessing the building with a yew tree and the four symbolic elements of wine, oil, corn and salt, alongside Howard Nankivell, Chief Executive of Rangeford Villages and Richard Poulter, Managing Director from Willmott Dixon’s Central South region.
Marking the occasion, Howard Nankivell of Rangeford Villages commented: “One of Rangeford’s key objectives is to continue to deliver high quality, eco-friendly, service-led later living solutions to meet the needs of the ageing population in the UK. Developments such as Homewood Grove form part of that future housing provision.
We are absolutely delighted to be celebrating this construction delivery milestone. The development is coming on fantastically, and we look forward to establishing Homewood Grove as an exciting addition to the local community and to welcoming forward-thinking over 60’s, who want to live an active-rich lifestyle in an integrated and vibrant community.”
Dennis Brown, Royal Egham Show and Nick Wood Dow, Deputy Lieutenant of Surrey, jointly commented: “As one of the major sponsors for Egham Royal Show, it was a pleasure to be present at the Topping Out Ceremony of Homewood Grove today. We look forward to Rangeford’s continued success and our relationship in the months ahead.”
