HC-One takes significant step in innovative digital transformation journey through collaboration with Radar Healthcare

by Kirsty Kirsty

HC-One has taken a significant step in its innovative digital transformation journey through a collaboration with Radar Healthcare to enhance resident care across 262 homes in England, Scotland and Wales through a new and improved reporting system.

HC-One’s digital transformation journey will ultimately see HC-One pioneering a fully integrated digital care platform, bringing together medication management, digital care plans and Radar Healthcare’s event reporting and quality assurance system into one place, and one device. In due course, this integration will go beyond HC-One’s homes and link in with secondary and primary care providers (e.g., GP records) to provide a seamless approach to care documentation, and care provision. At the heart of this journey for HC-One is enhancing how they care for and support residents, resulting in improved outcomes and experiences.

The launch of Radar Healthcare’s system into HC-One care homes is a key part of the digital care programme, and in how HC-One is fostering a culture of organisational learning.

It’s more than a reporting system. Radar Healthcare’s system will help to ensure that indications of concern are spotted as early as possible, and will also support the smooth, practical application of valuable learnings and improvement. This will allow HC-One to effectively analyse the data behind events, incidents, audits and feedback, and use these as learning opportunities to enhance the quality of care for residents.

In addition, colleagues and leadership teams will benefit from a simpler way of recording events, incidents, audits and feedback, which means they will have more time to deliver kind care to residents.

HC-One is leading the care sector by adopting Radar Healthcare’s fully integrated plan, incorporating all modules simultaneously. Both teams have been working closely together to ensure a smooth transition and just 8 weeks in, the system is already live in over 100 homes.

HC-One and Radar Healthcare are proudly working together (with other strategic partners) to shape how the system can work, now and in the future, evolving and adapting to the changes in the sector.

Antony Hall, Director of Insights, Assurance and Governance at HC-One said:

“HC-One are delighted to be working collaboratively with Radar Healthcare to implement a new learning system across HC-One’s care homes.

“We’ve worked incredibly closely with Radar Healthcare on making sure this is a system that will really help us to improve residents’ care experience and it is an integral part to our future vision. We’re really excited to be rolling this out throughout our homes and we look forward to seeing the difference this will make to our residents and also our colleagues.

“This is a really important part of our digital journey. We’re excited to be working on a number of complimentary initiatives to support our partnership with Radar Healthcare and to really help us to provide the best possible care to residents.”

Paul Johnson, CEO at Radar Healthcare said:

“We’re incredibly proud of the partnership we have with HC-One. This roll out across the full portfolio of 200+ locations is super exciting and we’re delighted with the teamwork that has happened to ensure this is an absolute success.

“We’re passionate about the difference that Radar Healthcare can make and for the UK’s largest care provider to implement the system as a crucial part of their digital journey is a testament to their desire to provide the best care possible. And this is just the beginning, we’re looking forward to what the future will bring as our partnership continues.”
