Sustainable developer Freeman Homes has partnered with Herefordshire Council to deliver a first of its kind virtual showhome for the Care sector in the county.
The Council’s Technology Enabled Care Services (TECS) team chose Freeman Homes to deliver its new Virtual Technology Enabled Care Showhome. The groundbreaking project aims to transform the way assistive technologies are perceived and used to help people live safely in their homes and manage health conditions more effectively.
The interactive experience, which was filmed at Freeman Homes’ Oakfield View property in Credenhill, will serve as a place for Occupational Therapists, carers, health professionals, and the general public to access up-to-date training and insights into assistive technologies in a home setting. Innovations showcased include smart home automation for safety and independence, adaptive aids tailored for routine tasks, digital health monitoring, and remote support solutions.
As technology advances at an unprecedented rate, the Virtual Showhome allows for continual updates, ensuring Herefordshire’s residents and care professionals have access to the latest innovative solutions in tech-enabled care to enhance quality of life for all.
