Tristone Healthcare – part of the buy-build-and-hold investment group – Tristone Group – has acquired Serenity Care Homes Ltd to extend its reach and impact in the social care sector.

The acquisition of the Hampshire-based business will further strengthen Tristone’s presence in the region and adds two residential children’s homes to its capabilities. Serenity Care Homes provides a caring environment for four children and young people needing to be placed in residential care and currently employs 15 people.

Funding for the transaction was provided by Duke Capital and Cambridge & Counties Bank.

The deal will allow Tristone and the management team at Serenity to grow the business and open more children’s homes aligned with the Serenity Care model.

Yannis Loucopoulos, CEO of Tristone Group, said: “Serenity is a welcome addition to our community and builds on our capabilities in a region which we already have a major presence in. Debbie and the team have built a fantastic business and there’s significant potential for future expansion which allows us to positively impact the lives of more young people.”

Serenity joins Tristone’s ten-strong business community and is the eighth acquisition for the group in the last five years.

Debbie Lymbery, director at Serenity Care Homes, adds: “Tristone has built a strong reputation as a long-term investor in our sector and has a track record of delivering positive social impact, as well as sustainable business growth. It was important to us to find a partner with a culture and values that matched our own, and a model which allows us to focus on providing the highest standards of care for as many young people as possible.”

In 2024, Tristone Healthcare – part of the Tristone Group – saw revenue rise from £30.5 million to £43 million across the Tristone community. Tristone’s portfolio has also seen employee numbers grow from 696 to 808. In 2024, Tristone also featured in the E2E Job Creation 100, after achieving a 195% growth in employee numbers during that period.
