After almost two decades of supporting families across the region, the well-established Martlets Care is proud to announce it is evolving into Nestwell Home Care. The home care organisation, part of Southern Hospice Group, is marking a renewed commitment to delivering the same trusted, high-quality home care through a new brand that reflects the service’s purpose, growth and ambition.
The evolution of the brand is a response to growing demand, both nationally and locally, for care that keeps people independent and well at home. According to NHS England, around one in five emergency hospital admissions could be avoided with the right care provided at home and in the community – evidence of the difference that compassionate, community-based care can make. Nestwell’s approach builds on that principle, helping people to live safely and confidently in familiar surroundings.
What makes Nestwell Home Care unique is its social enterprise model, which sees every penny of surplus income reinvested to help fund the Group’s hospice services. This model is nothing new for the organisation, but since the evolution, profits go to all hospices in the Southern Hospice Group – Martlets, St Barnabas House and Chestnut Tree House – which together support thousands of adults, children and families with life-limiting conditions every year.
Building on almost twenty years of experience previously delivered as Martlets Care, the same skilled team and trusted carers remain in place, strengthened by the wider expertise and governance of Southern Hospice Group, offering transparent pricing, continuity of care and a focus on relationships. Nestwell is setting a new standard for home care that combines professional excellence with genuine human connection.
